Are you a Huron County high school student who’s interested in learning to fly as a career or a hobby?
Papple Aviation is offering 3 high school students from Huron County a free flight from their nearest airport (Goderich, Wingham, Sexsmith, or Centralia) to Stratford airport and home again. At Stratford airport you will have the opportunity to meet the manager and flight instructors at Stratford Air Services, see the school planes, and find out what’s involved in learning to fly. To be entered you need to plan to attend the local COPA (Canadian Owners and Pilots Association) Flight 177 meeting on Tuesday, October 9th at Sexsmith Airport, 1 mile NW of Exeter. The meeting will be from 7-9pm and you’re encouraged to arrive at 6pm for social time and a chilli supper – $5/person. This meeting will be a great opportunity to meet friendly area pilots, listen in on our “What Would You Do” pilot scenario discussion, and learn about the 2018 “Fly the Dream” local youth flying scholarship.
Both male and female students are encouraged to participate – there are so many opportunities for females in aviation! To be considered all you need to do is plan to attend the October 9th meeting and send a short email to Summer Papple at PappleAviationFlights@gmail.com to let me know that you’re coming, along with your name, current grade and school, and a bit about why you’d like to fly.
