COVID-19 Update

March 28, 2020

I hope you are ALL keeping healthy.

First, obviously with what is transpiring around the world we have decided to not have COPA Flight 177 meetings for the next couple months at least. Please check this website for updates and information.

Second, in conversation with Bill Podbury, who is the President of Sexmith Pilots Ltd., we decided to heed the advice of Health Canada and cancel the Fly In Breakfast. Everyone’s safety and well being is our primary concern to “flatten the curve” … so it is only prudent to minimize risk.  Perhaps a Fall Brekkie can be considered.

Third, our nomination and election of Directors is within the next couple months. Obviously we won’t be able to properly conduct elections so I am suggesting we defer that task until our next meeting.

So that’s it for now everyone. Please stay safe, stay connected and we will get through this.

Stay healthy everyone.
Tom Hartai
Captain, COPA Flight 177

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to COPA Flight 177.

Our club promotes general aviation, freedom and pleasure to fly by providing its members with a friendly and fun aviation-oriented environment and encouraging them to remain active in the flying community.

The club actively supports and participates in regional flying activities. The club also supports the local community though events such as COPA for Kids where children are given their first taste of flight in small airplanes.

We hold monthly meetings and always strive to have informative guests to talk about subjects of interest to pilots and aviation enthusiasts.

Our home base is Sexsmith “International” Airport (CSX7) and we partner with Sexsmith Pilots Limited to co-host a fly-in breakfast and a Corn Roast annually.  We also partner with The Jeremy Mason Fund to offer a flight training scholarship to young aviators.

This is the official website for COPA Flight 177, Exeter, Ontario. This page shows posts on upcoming events. Use the above menu to check out events, news, images and comments from Ontario’s west coast flying community.

Contact any of the directors for more information.
